Premiums: IBEW Local 2228 Up to code optional life insurance
The cost of keeping your family's financial future up to code are probably lower than you think.
The following are the monthly premiums for each $10,000 unit of coverage. The maximum coverage available is $500,000 for members and $500,000 for spouses. Coverage ceases when you attain age 70 or terminate your membership in IBEW Local 2228. Spousal coverage ends when your spouse turns age 70.
Example: The monthly premium for a 43-year-old female non-smoker requiring $200,000 of coverage (20 x $10,000) would be $18.80 (20 X $0.94). Premiums for a non-smoking male the same age would be $20.80 (20 X $1.04).
Plus , you can provide your spouse with $10,000 of basic life insurance and each of your dependant children with $5,000 of coverage automatically for just $3.59 per month.
